How to Take Care of your Cutting Board

Caring for your cutting board or block is easy!

After use, simply clean the wood with mild soap and water, then wipe dry. Wiping down with white vinegar will sterilize the surface after cutting meat or poultry. Never submerge your block in water or put it in the dishwasher.

We condition our boards with a 3:1 mixture of mineral oil and beeswax, which we also sell. A few minutes spent reconditioning the wood will keep it looking new. Only food safe mineral oil should be used. Never use vegetable oils, as they can become rancid and may create health problems.
